Book a Baptism

“Baptism is the door to life and to the kingdom of God.
Christ offered this first sacrament of the
new law to all men that they might have eternal life."

If you would like to book a baptism, please call
St. Catherine's Rectory at (781) 762-6080 between
the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., weekdays. You
will be asked if you are a registered member of the
parish. If you are not, you will be asked to fill out a
registration form at the rectory or have one mailed
to you. You may also download the .pdf format

You cannot sign up your child for a baptism
until you become a registered member of the parish.
Once you become a registered member, you will be
asked to give some information to make your baptism date
official. Please be advised that only the parent or the
guardian of the child who is going to be baptized may call
and schedule a baptismal ceremony.
Baptismal ceremonies are celebrated on the 2nd
and 4th Sundays of the month at 1:00 pm and
usually last about an hour. They also must be
arranged at least two months in advance.
It is mandatory that the parents of the child(ren) being baptized attend a baptism class. The classes are held in the convent after the 10 a.m. Mass.

Parents may bring their children but godparents do not have to come to the classes. If you need to substitute your class, please call the rectory between the hours 8:30 am to 4 pm, weekdays.
Major points of the classes include:
*Learning the teachings of the church
*Learning the meaning of baptism and the meaning of other
sacraments and how they are fundamental to our Catholic identity.
*Learning the importance of godparents
*Meeting other couples who hold the same religious beliefs
*Getting to know your religious community
