Dear Students & Families,
Welcome to the Youth Formation Ministry program of St. Catherine of Siena and St. Timothy parishes; it is an honor to partake in our students’ and families’ Faith Journey. YFM invites our youth to a “Whole Life” approach that attempts to engage their minds through education and their hearts through lived experience. It then challenges our adolescents to live their Christian beliefs each day in an ever changing world. The entire program is centered on Jesus, rooted in Gospel values and nourished through four pillars:
1: Eucharist – Mass and Prayer
2: Catechesis – Classes
3: Service – Parish Based & Community
4: Community – Sharing Meals, Student Enrichment & Sports
We would like to take this opportunity to recognize our many volunteers who have become the cornerstone of the Youth Formation Program by giving unselfishly of their time, treasure and talent. The program consists of over 700 plus students and would not run efficiently without these volunteers.
As the Prayer of Archbishop Oscar Romero states – “We plant the seeds that one day will grow”. We invite you to reflect on the Prayer of Oscar Romero, review our program and see what role our Lord may be asking of you.
Sincerely in Service of Christ,
Msgr. Cornelius M. McRae, St. Catherine of Siena, Pastor
